Born in 1924, Sister Rita Marie Brennan (Johann) was destined to be a Sister of Mercy. The daughter of an Irish father, she was taught by Sisters of Mercy at Saint Joachim grade school and Mercy High School in Chicago and was preceded into the convent by her sister, Sister Sebastienne. She literally danced her way to the convent in 1943.
